42 at Play: Golfing for a cause

42 finds out they are bad at golf

Last month, our crew assembled a team of amateur golfers for the Habitat for Humanity Sarpy County Golf Tournament. Our President and COO, Jackie Miller, serves on the board for Habitat for Humanity Sarpy County as a marketing advisor and event volunteer.

“Habitat for Humanity is a great cause, and [being on the board] has provided me with the opportunity to be creative with marketing and advertising, as well as to know that what I’m doing is bringing people into their own homes,” Miller said.

The event, in its second year, took place at Willow Lakes Country Club in Bellevue, Neb.

At the end of the day, when all the strokes were tallied, our team finished in last place, but we knew we’d pitched in for a great cause.
